Our society

SIR provides services to large public and private companies in the energy, steel, oil, pharmaceutical and food sectors, throughout Italy and abroad.

We deal with industrial and environmental services, freight and waste transportation, reclamation, waste treatment and port services. With forty years of experience in the sector, SIR possesses the skills and the technical and organisational expertise which enable us to offer an integrated and professional service to our public and private customers.

Our History

ROMA IMMOBILIARE Srl was established in 2005, with the initial intention of dealing with real estate and construction. However, it remained inactive until 2007, at which point the company decided to put its experience in the environmental and waste management sectors to use, transforming the company into SIR Srl and taking over the branch of a historic company in the sector of ecological services.

In November 2007, SIR Srl was created, based in Carovigno (BR), in Piazza XXIV Maggio n. 15.

SIR started operating in the waste transport and reclamation sector.

In 2015, SIR obtained a license to operate as a Port Company pursuant to art. 16 L. 84/94 in the Port of Brindisi. Port Services further expanded the scope of the Logistics branch with the acquisition of new customers.

In 2017, SIR moved its registered office to BRINDISI in Via Per Pandi n. 6.

In 2018, the new waste treatment and recovery plant located at the new headquarters was inaugurated.

In 2019, following strong growth, the corporate structure was adopted and SIR became a joint-stock company.

In 2020 SIR obtained the licence to operate within the port area (ex art. 16 L.84/94) of the Port of Portoscuso, and to buy a new industrial warehouse so as to increase its activity in Sardinia.

In 2021 the same licence was obtained for work within the Port of Taranto, as well as the permission to build a new sludge treatment system in Brindisi whilst extending the existing system.

We are strongly focused on the future, paying particular attention to respect for the environment and land conservation.
